I'm Ready to Book
To ensure your photos look stunning, I recommend scheduling your session early in the morning. Here’s why:
Perfect Lighting: Morning light is soft, flattering, and ideal for capturing glowing skin and vibrant colors.
Smaller Crowds: Campuses are typically less busy in the morning, giving us more freedom to explore and create amazing shots without distractions. Plus, we won’t have to waste time waiting in lines, making the most of our session.
If you're shooting on campus:
If you're shooting off campus:
For off-campus locations, I typically suggest shooting during golden hour—the time just before sunset. The warm, golden light creates a beautiful, dreamy atmosphere.
Cloudy Weather Consideration: In April, May and June, the coast can sometimes be cloudy, so inland locations might provide better light and clearer skies for your session.
1. Booking: Fill out my inquiry form at the bottom of this page to secure your date as soon as possible. Spots fill up fast, especially during graduation season, so book early!
2. Mark Your Calendar: Once we’ve confirmed a date, I’ll send you a proposal. After you sign the contract and pay the 25% deposit, we can begin planning your session!
3. Finalize the Details: We'll discuss the ideal time and locations for your session to ensure everything aligns perfectly with your vision.
4. Session Day: Bring your cap, gown, props, and any outfit changes. I’ll guide you through posing so you feel comfortable and confident.
5. Photo Delivery: You’ll receive your beautifully edited gallery within 2 weeks of your session.
Cap and Gown
The classic graduation look! If you’ve customized your cap or gown, be sure to include those details.
Props
Add some fun with props like confetti (some campuses won't allow this), champagne, your diploma, or fun sunglasses.
Outfit Options
Bringing one formal outfit (like a dress or suit) and one casual look (like your school t-shirt) can give variety!
Comfortable Shoes
Wear comfy shoes for walking between locations, and swap them out for stylish ones during the shoot!
Hair and Makeup Touch-Ups
Bring any essentials for quick touch-ups to keep you looking fresh.
Personal Items
Bring along anything meaningful to you, such as a family heirloom, a favorite book, or an item related to your hobbies, to make your photos uniquely personal.
What should I wear for my graduation photos?
Choose outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. You can bring multiple outfits to your session for a variety of looks. Many grads choose to wear their cap and gown, but feel free to add in a more casual or formal look as well.
Do you offer graduation ceremony coverage?
At this time, I do not offer ceremony coverage for graduation photos. My sessions are focused on portraits, and we can capture beautiful photos around campus or at your chosen location.
How long until I receive my gallery?
Your photos will be delivered within 2 weeks after the session. If you need to have prints ready before graduation, please be sure to plan ahead and book your session with extra time to allow for ordering and delivery.
Can I include friends or family in my session?
If you'd like a few photos with your partner, a friend, or family members who aren’t graduating, I’m happy to include a couple of shots! However, if you’d like more than about 5 photos with others, there will be an additional fee for each extra person.
Do you do grad session on weekends?
No, I only offer graduation sessions on weekdays as I’m typically booked for weddings on the weekends.
Can we still book if we have more than 6 people?
Yes! If you have more than 6 people, just let me know how many, and I’ll provide a custom quote based on your session details.
Do you offer graduation sessions on weekends?
I currently only offer graduation photo sessions on weekdays. If you're looking to schedule your session, please plan for a weekday date, and I'll work with you to find the best time!
What counts as a location?
The campus as a whole is considered one location. You can choose which specific areas of the campus you'd like to shoot in, but keep in mind that travel time between different parts of campus is included in your session time. If you have any specific spots in mind and are unsure if we'll have enough time to get there, feel free to ask me in advance, and I'll help plan the best route for your session!
After I've booked can I add more people to my session?
You absolutely can! Depending on the number of additional people, you may need to upgrade your package time to ensure we have enough time to capture everyone. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss your specific needs!
